March 2006 – a life-changing 10 day trip around the the beautiful state and island of Tasmania in a hired motorhome started The New Australian Dream for us.

From the majestic and breathtaking scenery to the friendly folks, the seed of an idea and a 7 year plan was germinated. The freedom of having no specific time constraints, and being able to do as you please on holidays is enjoyable to us all. Being able to pull up to address the call of nature or to make a cuppa in your own ‘home’ wherever and whenever you please adds to the comfort and pleasure of the travelling experience – especially when travelling with children.

And so our new dream was born. Work, earn a living, holiday, play – all rolled into one!

For those of you who have not been – Tassie is a Must See. From magnificent beaches that rival the Whitsundays, to icy mountain lakes and pristine ancient growth forests. Unlike so much of the rest of Australia, Tasmania is so compact that the scenery can change dramatically just driving around a corner!

The following are just some of the 500 photos we took on that life-changing adventure.
